Olivia Nguyen, DMD

RESTORATIVE, GENERAL, & COSMETIC DENTISTRY

Dr. Olivia Nguyen, originally from North Andover, MA obtained her Bachelor of Arts degree in biology and business from the University of Vermont. Afterwards, she worked in oral health research at The Forsyth Institute in Cambridge, MA focusing on inflammation: a critical link between oral and systemic diseases. She worked alongside colleagues to develop preventative treatments and enhance therapeutics involving a new class of anti-inflammatory mediators. These mediators have proven to resolve inflammation which plays a major role in gum disease, diabetes, and heart disease. Working in this setting gave her a unique perspective not only in research but also in patient care. Collaborating with scientists and dentists of varying specialties from all over the world, inspired her to pursue a career in dentistry.

She went on to complete her Master in Oral Health Sciences and her Doctor of Dental Medicine degree at Boston University Henry M. Goldman School of Dental Medicine. She then continued her dental education completing a General Practice Residency at the University of Vermont Medical Center. During her residency she practiced advanced comprehensive dental care training, treating underserved populations and rotating through rural, public health, and hospital settings.

Dr. Nguyen finds importance in taking the time to make patients feel valued and cared for. Her goal is to make patients feel more confident in their smiles. Dr. Nguyen believes in offering an approachable and educational way to empower patients about their oral health and building relationships with patients grounded in trust and compassion.

Since moving back to the beautiful Green Mountain state she enjoys being outdoors, hiking, swimming holes, biking, and carefully getting back into snowboarding. In her free time, she enjoys fitness, yoga, beaches, knitting, and spending time with family and friends.
