Stephen M. Pitmon, DDS
RESTORATIVE, GENERAL, & IMPLANT DENTISTRY
Dr. Pitmon trained at the University of Minnesota School of Dentistry and graduated in 1988. A firm believer in continuing education, Dr. Pitmon has studied extensively at the Dawson Center for Advanced Dental Study and the Pankey Institute, leaders in advanced dental study. This training insures his patients receive the highest level of care available.
Dr. Pitmon is a member of the Vermont State Dental Society where he served 8 years on the Executive Board, culminating as president. He is also a member of the American Dental Association where he currently serves on the ADA Council on Communications.
When not caring for patients, Dr. Pitmon enjoys many Vermont outdoor activities. Nordic and alpine skiing, hiking, biking, canoeing, and beekeeping, to name a few. He and his wife Tamara reside in Underhill, under the majestic shadow of Mount Mansfield.
Fascinated by the social life of bees, Dr. Pitmon took up beekeeping 30 years ago. He has subsequently encouraged 5 ski buddies to keep bees of their own and thus Bees on Skis was formed. The group shares equipment, knowledge, and stories, as well as the successes and failures of tending to these important pollinators. This very local, organic, Vermont honey is available at cost right in the dental office. Look for the display table when you arrive for your appointment!
